Participation in the Laboratory Biosafety workshop

In order to improve knowledge about Laboratory Biosafety, especially the safety of using equipment, the Faculty of Biotechnology and Food Technology in collaboration with Esco Vietnam Co., Ltd. organized a seminar with the theme "LABORATORY BIOSAFETY". The content of the seminar focuses on the following main issues:

Hazards present in the laboratory

Control, identify hazards and minimize risks

Equipment used to prevent and control hazards: biological safety cabinets, microbiological culture cabinets, fume hoods

Operating and working sequence with biological safety cabinets

Solutions to improve the efficiency of biological safety cabinets

Workshop time: from 9:00-11:30, October 12, 2023 (Thursday), discussion in the hall. From 13:30-17:00, check and evaluate the current status of ATSH cabinets, microbiological culture cabinets, fume hoods at laboratories. The workshop is certified with Biosafety by Esco Company.

Location: Faculty of Biotechnology and Food Technology, University of Agriculture and Forestry

Attendees: Lecturers, laboratory staff, students of faculties/centers inside and outside the university.
