The 2024 Biotechnology Program is developed with the following objectives:
General Objective
To train graduates with comprehensive and in-depth knowledge in biotechnology, proficient professional skills, scientific research capability, and technology transfer competence. Graduates are expected to demonstrate political integrity, professional ethics, good health, dynamism, creativity, autonomy, teamwork and collaboration skills, resource management abilities, adaptability to diverse work environments, and contribution to sustainable development at national and global levels.
Specific Objectives (POs)
- PO1: Equip students with foundational knowledge in natural sciences, social sciences, sports, culture, politics, security, and national defense to support holistic development.
- PO2: Apply professional knowledge and skills to address biotechnology-related issues, from research to technology transfer, supporting sustainable economic, social, and environmental development.
- PO3: Acquire soft skills including teamwork, independent working, critical thinking, presentation, planning, and work management.
- PO4: Demonstrate professional ethics, lifelong learning ability, autonomy, responsibility, entrepreneurial mindset, and global integration competence.
Following the formulation of program objectives, the Program Learning Outcomes (PLOs) were developed based on TNU’s Regulation on Development, Review, and Revision of Learning Outcomes, and are presented in Figure 2.1. The Curriculum Development Council constructed the PLOs based on: the university's mission, vision, core values, and educational philosophy; the program objectives; the Vietnam National Qualifications Framework; and results from stakeholder and labor market surveys.
