1. General Information

The Department of Biotechnology, under the Institute of Biotechnology and Food Technology (IBFT), University of Agriculture and Forestry, was established in 2010. It is responsible for education, research, and technology transfer in various modern biotechnology fields such as genetic engineering, cell technology, molecular biology, and environmental biotechnology.

The Biotechnology Dept. boasts a team of highly qualified lecturers and researchers (Professors, Associate Professors, and PhDs) who have received formal training in scientifically advanced countries such as the United States, Japan, Germany, South Korea, Thailand, and others.

Currently, the Biotechnology Dept. offers undergraduate, master's, and doctoral programs in Biotechnology. It also plays a key role in scientific research and technology transfer in various areas including high-tech agriculture, medicinal plants, food technology, preservation and processing, and environmental biotechnology.

With an experienced faculty and modern laboratory facilities, the Biotechnology Dept.  is committed to sustainable development, innovation, and international integration.
